What's with all the Boobies?

Blue-footed Boobies are from the Galapagos islands. They like to eat sardines and anchovies. Yummy. The word “Booby” comes from the Spanish term bobo, meaning stupid or clown. They remind us not to take ourselves too seriously and have fun along the journey.

The courtship between Boobies consists of the male flaunting his blue feet and dancing to impress the female. During the dance, the male spreads his wings and struts his blue feet. He does this because he doesn't want the ladies to get confused and run off with the wrong crowd, the Red-footed Boobies.
