Vidli helps you buy, sell and rent videos. Our mission is to create a service that makes it legal, easy and affordable to license videos. Every aspect of this businesses involves trust. Video Licensing

What we do on Vidli is called video licensing. We believe it's best to provide a service that helps people license videos easily, legally and affordably. For more information about the licensing agreement that governs the use of Vidli please see the Content License Agreement.

Copyrights

When you create something original, you own the copyright for it. Likewise, when other people create content, they may have a copyright to it. As community of law abiding, legitimate business you must respect the copyrights of others. If you’re not sure if something will violate someone’s copyright, the safest thing to do is to create something completely original, with images and audio you’ve created. If it’s all yours you never have to worry about copyright—you own it. If you’ve obtained a video, recorded something from a DVD or downloaded a video online, DO NOT upload or license it unless you have express written permission from the copyrights owner and all the appropriate releases on file.

If you are a copyright owner of a video and think it is being used on Vidli without your permission, please follow these directions.

Content Violations

This list is not meant to be exhaustive, but merely illustrative of examples of conduct deemed by Vidli to be inappropriate, improper or harmful to Vidli's reputation, products and services and therefore prohibited when using the Vidli products and services or website. Examples of Content Violations

• Copyrighted material that you don’t own
• Dangerous or illegal acts including but not limited to incitement to violence, animal abuse or drug abuse
• Child pornography or exploitation
• Unlawful, obscene, defamatory or libelous material
• Sexually explicit content including but not limited to images of rape, bestiality, intercourse, masturbation, sadistic or masochistic abuse, explicit depiction of male or female genitalia or pubic areas, pedophilia or necrophilia
• Abuse, drug abuse, or bomb making
• Graphic or gratuitous violence – people getting hurt, attacked, or humiliated
• Gross-out content of accidents, dead bodies or similar things
• Hate speech which attacks or demeans a group based on race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, gender, age, veteran status, and sexual orientation/gender identity
• Predatory behavior, stalking, threats, harassment, invading privacy, or the revealing of other members' personal information
• False or misleading information about a product, service or service request
• Unprofessional or offensive comments about a User, Member, Service Provider, Buyer, Vidli or any third party.

We Enforce These Guidelines

Vidli reviews flagged videos to determine whether they violate our Terms of Use. Upon receipt by Vidli of notice of the violations posted on the site, the content in question will be reviewed and may be removed from the Vidli website. Appropriate authorities may be notified. Accounts are penalized for violations and serious or repeated violations can lead to account termination. If your account is terminated, you won’t be allowed to create any new accounts.

• Respect others. We believe it all starts and ends with integrity. As you use Vidli remember the videos here represent a lot of hard work and rights owners deserve to be compensated. For many this is their business and livelihood.
• Let folks know what you think. Feedback is important to help everyone improve. When you do it with respect it can be a great way to make friends, share stories and do more business.
